Focus on ROI Instead of Keyword Rankings

Google has come out and said that HTTPS is a confirmed ranking factor. That said, they haven’t actually confirmed how much this impacts search rankings. The sites that Google will rank highest for a particular search term are the ones that appear the most relevant and that have the best content and best design. At the same time though, they will also be the ones that have the most trust. Poor spelling has always had the potential to be a negative ranking factor in Google if the word that is incorrect on the page is unique on the page and of critical importance to the search query. Get reputable websites to link to you. You can achieve this by gaining a good following and reputation among your customers.

It’s easier when you look at an example

SEO is important whether you’re a seasoned ecommerce veteran or just starting to sell online. Optimizing your site will be a continuous process, as search engines are constantly surveying the internet to index and rank pages. RankBrain and other machine learning systems examine user behavior to deliver the “best” search results possible. Unfortunately, what’s deemed best for one query might not be the best for another, which makes machine learning very difficult to optimize for. For some reason, everyone thinks posting a blog on your own website will magically increase your SEO presence and make your website stronger. How does a new website start ranking? Does it just magically appear in Google after you’ve launched it? What things do you have to do to start ranking in Google and get traffic from the search engines?

How often the content changes

You can think of importance as a way to determine which page, from a group of equally relevant pages, shows up first in the search results, which is second, and so forth. The relative authority of the site, and the trust the search engine has in it, are significant parts of this determination. Search Engine Optimization is a very hot topic on the World Wide Web. After-all, everybody wants to rank higher and come up on the first page of Google search and get more traffic. On-page SEO is the practice of optimizing individual web pages in order to rank higher and earn more relevant traffic in search engines. On-page refers to both the content and HTML source code of a page that can be optimized, as opposed to off-page SEO which refers to links and other external signals. Integrate keywords, not only into the content itself, but also into the title, the meta description and even the canonical URL.

If it isn’t on Google, it doesn’t exist

With all that said…SEO is still all about content and links. Without amazing content, you’ll never get links. And without links, you won’t crack the first page. Relevance is part of your Quality Score, a formula that Google uses to measure how useful your ad, keyword, and website are to a customer. When optimizing sites for SEO most people concentrate on text searches, ignoring the vast number of image searches performed each day. Gaz Hall, a UK based SEO Specialist, commented: "There are literally hundreds of factors that could influence your rankings in search engines, and even more considerations to bear in mind when you factor in content marketing and conversion optimization."

Focus on ROI Instead of Keyword Rankings

According to research by Google, smartphone users have a higher buyer intent than desktop users. They’re focused and ready to buy. It’s your job to be there when they are looking for your products. A page’s speed is crucial, so don’t forget testing it from time to time. From heavy images to unnecessary scripts, there is always a reason that your site gets slow.. Backlinks from older websites may be worth more than links from newer sites. While you can’t always control who links to you, successful SEO often includes promotion and outreach. This includes reaching out to other sites, influencers, and bloggers in your industry to check out your content and hopefully share or link to it.
